Why Teacher’s Day Celebrated in India?
Since from 1962 globally Teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th of September of every year. Before 1962 it was celebrated on 5th of October. It is mainly celebrated in India to memorialize the birth of Dr. Sarvepalli S.Radha krishnan who remained first vice president of India and second President of India. He was a great scholar and favorite teacher of the students. Students came and take permission to celebrate their birthday instead of celebrating his birthday only Dr. Radhakrishnan suggests celebrating his birthday as celebration of teacher’s day in respect of all teachers. He was an advocate by profession and distinguished academician and a great teacher.

Well Teacher’s day is the only that day in the year when children and teacher equally look after to each other. Teachers are true icon of knowledge and wisdom. They should be given much respect by everyone. In many cities on this day awards are given to the meritorious teachers.
