Supporting the creation and upkeep of Natural Resources Wales’ flood forecasting service is the goal of this position. As part of a duty standby roster, this position provides technical support by analysing data, helping to develop software systems, helping to develop models for both fluvial and tidal flood forecasting, and providing operational flood forecasting services. The position also oversees routine maintenance of the Wales Incident and Forecasting Room in Ty Cambria, ensuring that all of our systems and communications equipment are in excellent working condition and ready for continuous usage.
